Novice programmers often have trouble asking questions in educational settings. This, coupled with large introductory class sizes, can make support difficult. Codeon is an asynchronous support tool that is an extension for Atom. It enables more effective and efficient support by automatically capuring code context and providing other helpful features, and more information and videos of the system can be found here.
I began working with this project in the fall of 2016 as a part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program. I assisted with development of features, study design and execution, and paper writing. In winter 2017, Gabriel Matute and I presented the poster below, summarizing our work over the course of the year at the UROP Symposium event.
